Whether part of a Business Continuity Management System or under the auspices of Operational Resilience, building, training, exercising and testing your Incident and Crisis Management is a key part of resilience. Planning, facilitating and reporting on this training and exercising is one of Firebird Consulting’s core capabilities. We have worked with groups from six people to sixty and including multiple third-parties; we work on-site and/or with multiple concurrent MS Teams.
Since the introduction of UK regulation, we have supported clients on every stage of the journey. This has included managing full implementation programmes, including the definition of Important Business Services & Impact Tolerances, designing and conducting tests and writing self-assessment reports. We have also reviewed client self-assessment reports, held advisory webinars and planned, facilitated and reported on numerous Operational Resilience tests. We remain actively engaged in supporting clients as they continuously improve their Operational Resilience posture. For our clients with EU operations, we plan for the forthcoming Digital Operational Resilience Act.
Many of our assignments have highlighted the need to integrate the ‘technology response’ (often a combination of Security Operations Centre and IT) with the ‘management response’, which co-ordinates the other elements of the business. We focus our efforts in this area, working with clients to streamline this key interface in cyber response.
